What's next, God?

Good morning and How are you?

Hope all is well and you had a great weekend 😎. Year 2020 is coming to an end soon and sure many things had happened. Probably, you have already started wondering - what’s next?

Somehow God reminded me of the parable of “Jesus and the Samaritan Woman” in John 4 : 1-42. I’m sure you are similar with this parable. The Samaritan woman was living her daily life, carrying her thoughts and she was a wife to 5 husbands too as Jesus mentioned in verse 17. Somehow, a person who carries burden like that could have possibly thought of “What am I doing? What’s next? Will it be always like this?”

This year had been challenging and you might be in the similar position as the Samaritan woman, thinking “What’s next God? When will I move? When are you coming to see me? When is my breakthrough?”

Between the Samaritan woman activities, Jesus interrupted her. On verse 7 - 9:

7 A woman of Samaria came there to draw water. Jesus said to her, “Give Me a drink.” 8 For His disciples had gone away into the city to buy food.

9 Then the woman of Samaria said to Him, “How is it that You, being a Jew, ask a drink from me, a woman of Samaria?” For Jews have no dealings with Samaritans.

Has God interrupted you in the middle of your activities? Maybe you are confused too like the woman. You wonder “Is this really you, God?” What if God is trying to give you something better? God still wants to have a conversation with you. 

You may think God has forgotten you or you don’t deserve a second chance from Him but He has not forgotten about you!

He is asking you “Give me a drink” in another word “Come and sit with Me, I want to show you something better!”
