How are you so far? New day, new week and so as God’s grace is sufficient for us.
2 Kings 8 : 1-6 | The Woman from Shunem Returns Home.
This is a story about a woman and her family whom Elisha asked to leave Israel because the Lord had called for a famine on Israel for 7years and go to another city for the time being. When she was gone, she had lost everything, including her land and house.
After the famine had ended, she returned. She went to see the king about getting back what belonged to her.
In verse 6 - “Is this true?” the king asked her. And she told him the story. So he directed one of his officials to see that everything she had lost was restored to her, including the value of any crops that had been harvested during her absence.”
Are you like that woman now? You were in Israel, you were in a good place, you were doing fine but you had to leave for another place? And now that maybe you’ve lost everything? Maybe you’ve lost your joy, your peace, your faith but come back!
You are favored!
You can stand in the presence of the King of kings to ask for everything back! You can have your joy back! Your peace back! Your job back! Your confidence back! You are His child!
God’s not hiding from you!
In early mornings, I like to spend time in the kitchen with limited lights, not so bright. That’s where I spend time with the Lord and make coffee.
Early mornings are kind of dark, but if my son wakes up around that hour. He would come to the kitchen to find me and he knows I’ll be in the kitchen.
You can still meet God! You know where to find Him! You can stand in His presence and ask for everything back!
